Privacy

Loafr is a small independent studio run by Yuda Recht. This page explains what happens to your information when you use our website, games, simulators and apps. Where a product has its own privacy page with more detail, that page applies to it as well.
Without an account
You can use our games and simulator demos without an account. Your settings and progress are saved on your own device, in your browser's local storage, and stay there.
Loafr Account
Signing in is optional and uses Google. We then keep: your Google account ID, your email address (used to connect purchases to your account and to restore them; it is never shown to other players), the display name you choose (a generic name until you pick one; your real name is never shown), your progress and scores in each product, and the list of what you've bought. This is stored with Cloudflare (our server and database). Other players see only your display name and scores. The same account works in every Loafr product, so each product you sign in to can read this information.
Payments
Loafr Plus and our simulators are sold through Paddle, which acts as the seller and processes your payment. Paddle receives your payment details and email; we never see your card. Paddle tells our server about each purchase (which account, the buyer's email, and any refund). We keep that purchase record, with its email, even if you delete your account, so the purchase can be restored to a new account with the same email; write to us to have it removed. See Paddle's privacy notice at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
Visit statistics
We may count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not follow you across other websites. Some of our products also use Google Analytics to understand how they are used (pages visited, roughly where visitors come from, device and browser, and simple in-game moments). Google Analytics uses cookies; in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland only after you agree in the consent message. We never send your name or email to it. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or your browser's privacy settings.
Services that load parts of our sites
Our sites load typefaces from Google Fonts and are hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web request, these services receive your IP address and basic browser information so they can send you the files.
Advertising
Some of our free games show ads from Google AdSense on their home pages, never inside the game itself. Where ads appear, Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to that and other sites; you can turn off personalised ads in Google's Ads Settings. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before any advertising cookies are used. Our simulators and the Loafr website carry no ads.
Children
Our relaxed games are suitable for all ages. Signing in and buying are meant for people old enough to have their own Google account under Google's rules, or with a parent's permission.
Your choices
To delete locally saved progress, clear the site's data in your browser settings. To delete your Loafr Account and everything stored with it (apart from a purchase record, see above), use "Delete account" in any of our products, or write to us. To ask anything about privacy, write to hello@loafr.app.
